I enjoyed listening to an Elluminate recording of Stephen Downes’s presentation for the Connectivism & Connective Knowledge course’s Net Pedagogy Conference 2009. In this session Stephen provided an outline and description of Open Education Resources (OER) and their associated licensing formats. Various OER funding models were also outlined. Examples of OER include: 1) MIT OpenCourseWare, Open CourseWare Consortium, Connexions, Open Education Resource Commons, Open Content Alliance, Open Learn and Globe. This presentation was very interesting and informative.
