Tonight I listened to a Connectivism and Connective Knowledge Course’s (CCK09) audio recording of an Elluminate discussion on the nature of Power and Authority in complex networked systems. This re-orientated me to the notion of distributed and decentralized systems of knowledge, power and authority in view of the fact I’ve recently been thinking about existing power structures within societies. At this stage of the course, I’ve been writing in the CCK09 Moodle Forum. At the same time, I have been considering whether I need to try to do more blogging or find paths to new networks with the CCK09 participants. I hope to gain greater experience in the process of communicating online and to develop more confidence and abilities in engaging with CCK09 participants more broadly. I find the CCK09 ‘Daily’ helpful because there are so many different ongoing activities within the CCK09 course.
