CCK09 Eluminate Discussion 2

I listened to George Siemen’s and Stephen Downe’s discussion concerning their different perspectives upon the theory of Connectivism and Connective Knowledge today (‘Elluminate’ Discussion 2). One point that resonated with me is the question of the nature and quality of ‘connections’ within a network. Secondly, George and Stephen’s focus upon the notion of the ‘growth’ of knowledge as opposed to knowledge as ‘constructed’. I’ve been thinking about the application of Connectivism theory within health contexts – no doubt better connections alone may lead to the growth of knowledge. The question is how, when and where can health professionals, patients and their families connect using novel e-Learning technologies and perspectives?
